CLEAN FUEL, DIRTY LOOKS: CHINA’S ROCKET FLEX GETS LOUD
LandSpace just lobbed 6 satellites into orbit using a methane-powered rocket - cleaner and cheaper than conventional rocket fuel.
This Zhuque-2E rocket isn’t just eco-friendlier - it’s also a not-so-subtle message: China’s private space race is heating up.
The payload? A mix of radars, mineral sniffers, and science toys - including tech from a company the U.S sanctioned for allegedly helping Russia (they deny it).
Reusable rocket tests are also coming up later in the year - so expect some fireworks as they try to figure out how to land them in one piece.
LandSpace says it’s just getting warmed up - on chilled methane.
