CIA’S NEW TOP SPY BOSS: MIDDLE EAST VET TO RUN GLOBAL COVERT OPS
Imagine being promoted to run a secret agency’s most secret division — and no one’s allowed to say your name.
That’s what just happened at the CIA, where Director John Ratcliffe chose a longtime station chief in the Middle East to become Deputy Director for Operations — the person in charge of recruiting spies and running covert missions all over the planet.
This officer now oversees CIA activities in countries like China, Russia, and other hostile regions — areas where the agency recently launched Chinese-language recruitment ads to find new informants.
The last nominee, Ralph Goff, was pulled from consideration after reported White House concerns over his past pro-Ukraine work.
This shift is just one of many under Trump’s administration: heads of the NSA and National Intelligence Council were also replaced recently.
