CHAINLINK CCIP GOES LIVE ON SOLANA MAINNET
-
@Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is officially live on the @Solana mainnet, marking a major milestone for both ecosystems.
-
This development bridges Solana’s high-speed infrastructure with Chainlink’s battle-tested security, combining to create a robust foundation for cross-chain applications and the future of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs).
Key Details:
-
The integration of Chainlink CCIP with Solana enables projects like Solv, The Graph, Maple Finance, and others to expand their existing CCIP-enabled tokens into the Solana ecosystem.
-
These projects leverage Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Token (CCT) Standard, representing a combined market cap of over $19 billion.
-
With Solana now connected to Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Optimism, and Sonic via CCIP, the foundation for large-scale, cross-chain interoperability is firmly in place.
-
The CCIP protocol is built on the same decentralized infrastructure that, at its peak, secured over $75 billion in DeFi TVL and enabled more than $20 trillion in transaction value, setting the stage for secure and scalable adoption.
-
This launch also introduces lower transaction costs and an upgraded architecture to support hundreds of future chains, signaling rapid cross-chain scalability for non-EVM and EVM networks alike.
-
According to Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, this integration “lays the foundation for an asset-rich ecosystem that attracts institutional capital, deepens liquidity, and expands the footprint of tokenized RWAs.”
